New Belmont Park Grandstand and Facilities – Approval Imminent

Burswood Peninsula evolving to become Perth’s Premier Sporting Precinct
Perth Racing will move ahead with its $80 million Belmont Racecourse redevelopment. The redevelopment will include a new grandstand for punters on race day, a convention centre, Perth’s largest rooftop garden terrace and bar area and restaurants, corporate boxes, new stalls and float parking, new stewards, jockey and trainer accommodation, and a health club to service the surrounding development area.
Funding for the development will eventuate in the next quarter and construction is forecast to take 18 months once a lead contractor is appointed.
The Burswood Peninsula is being transformed into a premier sporting precinct with the $1.2 billion Perth Stadium, the newly opened Crown Towers and Land Corps master planned community at the Springs. Adding to the mix will be the new Belmont Park Grandstand and Facilities and Golden Groups 36ha mixed use residential and commercial precinct which could house up 4500 new residents and associated office and retail components.
