Perth Stadium Bosses want the Boxing Day Test to come to Perth!
The New Perth Stadium is scheduled to open next year with over forty major events locked in for the first year. British superstar Ed Sheeran is booked in for two dates with both events already sold out. The first show on March 3 sold 55,000 tickets and the second show on March the 2nd has also sold out.
Perth Stadium Boss has indicated his ambition to try and secure Australia’s biggest cricket match, The Boxing Day Test. Talking to seven news he stated, “I don’t see any reason why, with a venue like this, great events like the Boxing Day Test and the New Year’s Test, Cricket Australia wouldn’t want to have a look at it”.
Venues live the operator of the stadium also have ability to bid for world class events including AFL grandfinals, Rugby League World cups or Asian Soccer championships.
There will be 7000 general admission tickets available to the public for AFL matches.
